Introduction

WellSaid (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the WellSaid mobile application.

Information We Collect

WellSaid does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • Your favorite quotes, words, and facts
  • Custom content you create
  • Your app settings and preferences (categories, notification times, widget update frequency)
  • Cached content from our public Google Sheet

All of this data remains on your device and in your iCloud account (if iCloud sync is enabled by iOS).

Third-Party Services

Google Sheets

WellSaid fetches content (quotes, words, facts, etc.) from a publicly accessible Google Sheet. This connection:

  • Only downloads public data
  • Does not send any personal information
  • Does not track your usage
  • Uses standard HTTPS connections

iCloud

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, iOS may automatically sync:

  • App settings
  • Favorites
  • Custom content

This syncing is handled entirely by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. We do not have access to this data. For more information, see Apple’s iCloud Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications:

  • Notification scheduling is handled locally on your device
  • No data about your notification settings or interactions is sent to us
  • You can disable notifications at any time in the app or iOS Settings

Widgets

Widgets display content on your lock screen and home screen:

  • Widget data is stored locally in your device’s shared app container
  • Widget configuration (selected categories) is stored on your device
  • No widget usage data is collected or transmitted

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.

Children’s Privacy

WellSaid does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. The app is suitable for users of all ages, though content categories can be filtered based on age-appropriateness.

Your Rights

Since we don’t collect any personal data:

  • There is no data to access, modify, or delete from our servers
  • All your data is stored locally on your device
  • You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app and on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
